For insurance purposes, every player MUST be registered with USA Hockey before they can step onto the ice.
USA Hockey registration is is quick and easy, and is available via the link below. There is a USA Hockey fee and an affiliate fee (for MAHA) associated with this. However, the USA Hockey Membership Relief Fund Grant is available to provide assistance in waiving USA Hockey fees (link is provided below).
After you've registered your player with USA Hockey, please visit the following SportsEngine link to complete the registration. This involves creating a SportsEngine account or signing into your existing account. If you have any questions, you may contact mcyha.secretary@gmail.com for assistance.

Equipment is provided for all association levels PeeWees and younger. Players MUST be registered to check out gear.
MCYHA requires a $200.00 deposit upon checkout of gear/equipment, to be returned upon receipt of the equipment at the end of the season. All equipment used by the player that is owned by MCYHA is due back to MCYHA at the end of the season unless permission has been granted to use the equipment for summer camps. The player/parents will be held financially responsible at the full retail cost to replace any and all gear/equipment that is not returned to MCYHA. The failure to return the gear/equipment could be considered theft and any legal means necessary to reimburse MCYHA for said gear/equipment will be reviewed for action.

You are required to bring deposit checks for gear checkout and special event volunteer shifts to gear checkout.
We rely on volunteerism to keep our registration fee low. All levels are required a total of 20 hours per family per year. Opportunities include , but are not limited, to: concessions, penalty box, monitoring, locker room monitoring, scorekeeping, rink cleaning and management, coaching, team managing, etc. There may be other opportunities throughout the season, so please stay tuned for emails or information posted at the rink.. Each family has until March 31, 2024 to complete their required hours for the 2023-24 season. Any delinquent hours not worked and not recorded by the volunteer coordinator will be charged $25.00 per hour. Players with unpaid fees will not be able to register for the next season.
You will have the option of buying out your 20 hours for $500.00 during registration.
MCYHA requires a $300.00 deposit (ONE check) which will be refunded upon completion of (1) at least one 2024 Mother's Day or BHS shift AND (2) at least one 2024 Fair shift.
The Mother's Day OR Bucking Horse Sale AND Fair shifts are not included in the 20 hour requirement.
Each family is responsible for selling TWO books of Gun Raffle tickets (including four raffle tickets each). Ticket books will be distributed upon the start of the season. For every ten books a family sells, one free registration (highest value) will be granted for the following season.
